Omnivores 100 list a culinary adventure

This is a great experience and one of the few blog posts that I wanted to present before it is complete.

The premise behind the Omnivores 100 list is a food blogger (http://www.verygoodtaste.co.uk/) who’s site doesn’t appear to be active anymore, came up with 100 things you should try before you die. I looked at the list and realized I had only scratched the surface. So I took the challenge and am working through the list as a sub-list on This Life List. (wow too many uses of the word list for one sentence)

I am constantly updating this list each time I get to try something new. The biggest difficulty is sourcing some of the items

The idea is for me to broaden my horizons and eat some things I would not necessarily try. Everything about this experience embraces my new philosophy on life. I want to try everything I can. Some things I will like: chocolate, hot dogs and Pho. Others maybe not so much: kaolin (this is clay), cognac and raw scotch bonnet chilli.

    Lee,
Top effort mate, I don’t think I would have hit a single ball. You have inspired me and I am going to give it a go, BATTER UP ⚾️

Lee there is an amazing restaurant in Johannesburg called Carnivores. I bet you can knock a few off the list if you visited there.

Ohh and there’s a game butcher at Manly Vale (on the main road next to Harvey Norman) I bet they’ll sell some interesting meats.

Carnivores was a real shock to the system for me but I probably ate the best I had during my whole time backpacking through Africa
